This is a remote recreational area. The terrain is uneven. Rock slides regularly occur. You may also come upon a variety of wildlife, including snakes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc. Proceed with caution.
There are countless areas within the Canyon to explore. The hills are covered with sagebrush, seasonal wildflowers and plenty of fresh air.
It's often clear and sunny with crisp mornings. Carefully make your way to the canyon ridge and soak in the amazing views of the river, winding on its northward path to hundreds of acres of farmland.
You'll find dozens of caves and interesting natural arches. Don't miss a balancing rock or two! Or go on a distant journey to historic shacks, maybe even stumble upon a gold mine or thunderegg geode.
The possibilities are limitless!
